The forecast looks good for the Rossnowlagh Junior Surfing Championships is scheduled
for Rossnowlagh, Co Donegal on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th August. Our 2017 Irish Junior Champions will be crowned in Rossnowlagh, as the contest is the fourth and final event of the 2017 Irish Junior Tour. The contest will include the following Junior Tour categories- U12 Boys & Girls, U14 Boys & Girls, U16 Boys & Girls, U18 Boys & Girls, U18 Longboard and U18 Bodyboard, open to Irish passport holders or British passport, born Northern Ireland. Competitors must compete in their age category. Competitors can enter more than one discipline, eg surf, bodyboard and longboard.
There will be an Open Junior category (not restricted to Irish Passport holders), any junior can entry this category along with their tour category, where eligible.

Please note age refers to a surfers age on the 1st January 2017. U12 surfer must be 11 or younger on the 1st of January, U14 surfer must be 12 or 13 on 1st January 2017, U16 surfer must be 14 or 15 on 1st January....
Our second Irish Junior Surf Team training camp for selection to the Irish Junior Surf Team to attend Eurosurf 2018 scheduled for Norway will take place in Rossnowlagh on the 16-18th August.. To attend this camp a surfer must have been 11 years old on the 1st January 2017, must be competing on the Irish Junior Tour and capable of consistently paddling outside and taking off on unbroken waves. The camp will run from 10am to 5pm on Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th and from 10am to 1.00pm on Friday 18th.
