Irish Surfing Junior Tour Event 1

The first of the 2022 Irish Surfing Junior Tour events is scheduled to kick of this weekend in Tramore and the forecast is looking promising for waves. Entry will close at 5pm on Wednesday 6th April. Event entry and membership can be accessed via irishsurfing.justgo.com

Entry Requirement

  • Irish Surfing Membership.
  • Irish Citizen or Non National who has been a permanent resident for 3 years. 
  • Age is strictly 12+. Competitors must have turned 12 years before the 1st January 2022.
  • Surfers must compete in their age category selection only - any one of the following categories- Girls / Boys Surf, U16 Girls / Boys Surf or U14 Girls / Boys Surf.
  • Surfers may compete in a Surf and Longboard category.
  • Competitors must abide by the rules of the Irish Surfing Association including taking part in Irish Anti-Doping Rules.

U16 Girls / Boys Surf                
U14 Girls / Boys Surf 
U18 Girls / Boys Longboard

A surfer’s best five of six results will count towards their overall tour ranking in 2022. Tour events may relocate where conditions are unsuitable at the scheduled location. If the tour event does not run on the scheduled weekend it will be cancelled. If only five events are held, best four will count, four events are held, best three results will count, if three events are held a surfer’s best two results will count towards final rankings, if only two event are held then best two results will count and if only one event is held then ranking will be decided on that one event. A Ranking table will be included on the Irish Surfing website and will be updated during and after each event.

Entry will close at 5pm on Wednesday 6th April.
