As we passed the half way point at Eurosurf Junior most of our remaining surfers competed today. The U18 Boys were first to compete, Lorcan Southcombe has a strong performance but not enough to progress taking 3rd in his R2 heat. He was followed by Ben Maher and Jai Widger, both surfing well but edged into 3rd and 4th respectively.
Jude Lee took on some strong opposition in U18 Girls R2 but dispite a strong perforamnce Jude had to settle for 4th place bowing out of the competition
In U16 Boys, Oscar Choo was surfing in R3 but again he was eliminated in 4th place in a tough heat.
Akiya Moore was defended in the U16 Girls R3 but with every team point counting towards Ireland's final position, Akiya keep focused to the end of her heat sneaking a final wave that pushed her from 4th to 3rd place.
Alex Fanning continues in the competition, she will be surfing in the U18 Girls Longboard Main Round final, if she finishes in 1st or 2nd she goes into the grand final, if she is 3rd or 4th she goes into the Rep final and has another opporuntiy to progress.
