At the end of Day 1 of competition Alex Fanning has progressed in 1st place in her heat in the Girls Longboard.
Ben Maher put in a good performance in the Boys Longboard but was edged into 3rd. In the U16 Girls Evelyn Moore, Sadie Shalloo and Akiya Moore each finished 3rd place. The event format is double elimination, as surfers get knocked out of the main round they go in to a Rep round allowing them to continue to progress to the final. Ben, Evelyn, Sadie and Akiya will all surf again in Rep 1 in their respective events. Well done all. Follow the Irish Team www.eurosurfing.org
