ANTI-DOPING IN SURFING

Anti-Doping testing can take place at Irish Surfing contests and training camps. Competitive surfers must make themselves familiar with the anti-doping rules and procedures. Competitors are solely responsible for any banned substance or method detected, regardless of how it got there and whether there was an intention to cheat or not.

Sport Ireland Anti-Doping is the national anti-doping organisation, established to combat doping in sport in Ireland. Irish Surfing is committed to the Irish Anti-Doping Rules that act to protect Ireland's sporting integrity against the threat of doping and to ensure athletes participate in an environment that promotes the spirit of sport and is drug free.

Sport Irelands e-Learning programme covers all the key topics in anti-doping that competitive surfers and support personnel (coaches, managers, parents) need to be aware of.
