Tbay Surf Club hosted the first event of the 2022 Irish Junior Tour, switching on the surf sun and great hospitality for the weekend. Over 80 competitors attended competing in U14, U16 & U18 Girls & Boys Surf and U18 Boys & Girls Longboard. A strong judging panel including Tom Breen, Kilian Maher and James Power, David Hartley and Rachel Moore supported by Grace Doyle and Coaches from Tbay Surf Club were overseen by Irish Surfing Head Judge, Gavin Mc Crea with 12 hours of back to back heats with some very competitive heats and finals. Thanks to all the team from Tbay Surf Club who put in a long day at the beach to keep the event running smoothly and to Mollys Cafe for the teas, coffees and the best breakfast blaa in Waterford.
